David McCurdy, the seasoned Owner and Operator of McCurdy Yacht Surveying, brings his depth of understanding to the field of boat surveying, underscored by his extensive four-decade sailing background.  His credentials are not just limited to his vast sailing experience; they are augmented by his role as a licensed 100-ton near coastal Captain with a specialized sailing endorsement. McCurdy's journey on the waves began at the age of six under the guidance of his father, laying the foundation for a career that would see him at the helm of prestigious vessels, including the 12-meter America's Cup boats, Gleam, and Northern Light.
His commanding experience also includes being Captain for Classic Cruises aboard the 78' Schooner Madeleine and the 58' Rum Runner II, showcasing his versatility in captaining boats of varying sizes and purposes. His maritime leadership is complemented by McCurdy Sailing, his charter sailing venture.
